MBBS  Program

Since 2006, our university has been admitting international undergraduate students for the MBBS program in Clinical Medicine (English-medium). We are one of the first 45 medical schools authorized by the Ministry of Education of China to offer English-medium medical education to international students. To date, 764 students from 29 countries have studied here. Our program aims to cultivate clinical physicians with solid medical knowledge, excellent clinical skills, strong professional ethics, and international competitiveness.

During the teaching process, in addition to mastering foundational knowledge and basic clinical skills, we emphasize the development of abilities such as self-learning, communication, clinical reasoning, and information acquisition and utilization.

Our International Education College centrally manages the enrollment, visa processing, student registration, graduation certification, and foreign affairs management for all international students, including those in the MBBS program (English-medium Clinical Medicine). Moreover, the college is responsible for providing Chinese language and general education courses to all international students.

The program duration is six years, divided into two stages: a three-year phase for basic medical education and a three-year phase for clinical education. Core courses during the basic medical stage include Biochemistry, Human Anatomy, Histology and Embryology, Physiology, Medical Genetics, Medical Cell Biology, Medical Psychology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, among others. The second three-year phase focuses on clinical subjects and practice, including core courses in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Neurology, among others. The last year is for a compulsory rotatory medical internship, which is provided by the university-affiliated hospital.
